In just a few short years, Steve Byrne has risen through the ranks of the comedy world to become one of the industry’s most innovative and sought-after performers. With his high-energy, physical style of comedy, Byrne has evolved throughout the years into an extremely versatile entertainer that delivers on a day-to-day basis. Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Steve Byrne was born to a Korean mother and an Irish father. His unique background has given him the base comedic material for his first television show, Sullivan & Son. Byrne released a one hour standup comedy special, CHAMPION, on Netflix which then became a live show on the road, Steve Byrne & the Cast of Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour, along with his castmates: Ahmed Ahmed, Owen Benjamin and Roy Wood Jr.
After winning TBS’ cutthroat competition, the Myspace Standup or Sitdown Comedy Challenge, Byrne was hurtled into a brilliant television and film career. As his popularity began to expand, Byrne was featured in his very own half-hour Comedy Central Presents which was soon voted as one of the best specials of all time in the Comedy Central Standup Showdown. His hilarious standup has been seen on NBC’s The Tonight Show, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, CBS’s The Late Late Show and BET’s Comic View. In 2008, Byrne’s first one-hour special, Steve Byrne’s Happy Hour, premiered on Comedy Central and further cemented his star status. Packing an impressively wide range of appeal, Byrne’s comedy soon landed him on the The History of the Joke on the History Channel and the Discovery Channel’s The Science of Laughter. He has since appeared on some of TV’s hottest shows including ABC’s The Middle, The Chapelle Show, G4’s The International Sexy Ladies Show, The Howard Stern Show, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, The Very Funny Show, The Byrne Identity on Comedy Central and was a series regular on NBC’s The Real Wedding Crashers.
A true international comedian, Byrne has performed to sold-out crowds around the world. He has been a featured comic at the Just for Laughs Festival (in Montreal, Toronto and Chicago), HBO’s US Comedy Arts Festival in Las Vegas and the CanWest Comedy Fest in Vancouver. He has been part of several national comedy tours including The Jameson Comedy Tour, Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Comedy Tour, The Kims of Comedy, The Camel Cigarettes Sin City Tour, and his own national Myspace Comedy tour. Byrne even had the honor of opening for esteemed musical acts such as Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Modest Mouse, Puddle of Mudd, Spoon, Rev. Horton Heat and many more. As a big supporter of the US troops, Steve also headlined several USO tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan and Guam.
Byrne has appeared in the hit comedies The Dilemma, Couples Retreat, Four Christmases and The Goods: The Don Ready Story. His 2006 documentary, 13 or Bust, chronicles the attempt to perform 13 comedy shows in Manhattan in one night.
Byrne’s lack of ego and outstanding work ethic has helped him become one of today’s most respected comedians.
Owen Benjamin is a series regular on the TBS series SULLIVAN & SON, recurred on NICK SWARDSON’S PRETEND TIME, and has appeared on THE TONIGHT SHOW, COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS, LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, PUNK’D and LIVE AT GOTHAM. He played Marvin the bartender in THE HOUSE BUNNY and can be seen in JACK AND JILL, BUCKY LARSON and ALL’S FAIRE IN LOVE. Owen was featured as a breakout comedian on COMEDY CENTRAL’S 2010 HOT LIST and currently tours the US with Vince Vaughn. Owen’s one-hour standup special HIGH FIVE ‘TIL IT HURTS premiered on Comedy Central in Summer 2013 to terrific reviews.
In 2015, Roy Wood Jr joined The Daily Show with Trevor Noah as a correspondent.

Wood, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, began his comedy career in 1998 at the age of 19 while attending Florida A&M University. He made his network television debut in 2006 on The Late Show withDavid Letterman. and finished third in the 2010 season of Last Comic Standing.
In 2002, Wood earned a slot as one of 10 national finalists in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots competition in Los Angeles. Roy was a Star Search Semi-Finalist in 2003 where he advanced to the semi-finals. He’s also appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central’sPremium Blend and The Late, Late Show with CraigFerguson
Prior to this he also appeared at the 2006 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in the “New Faces Showcase”. In 2006, Wood appeared on the Boband Tom Radio Show: The Comedy Tour on Comedy Central.
From 2001-2007 Wood served as head writer/producer of the Buckwilde Morning show on 95.7 Jamz (Birmingham). He return to the station in 2010 and for two years hosted the ‘Roy Wood Jr Show’ and took home two awards from the Alabama Broadcasters association for ‘Best Large Market Morning Show’.
Wood has recorded three nationally-released prank call CD’s: My Momma MadeMe Wear This (2003), Confessions of a High School Bench Warmer (2005) and I’ll Slap You to Sleep! (2009). And has recently released his first comedy CD Things I think, I think (2013).
Egyptian-American actor, comedian, producer, and director Ahmed Ahmed is one of the most diverse, multi-faceted talents in the entertainment industry today. In 2014, he can be seen starring as “Ahmed” on TBS’ hit comedy series Sullivan & Son. Executive Produced by Vince Vaughn, the show follows Steve Sullivan [Steve Byrne], a corporate lawyer who surprises his parents when he leaves his job to take over a bar owned by his father in Pittsburgh. Ahmed made his first appearance as unlucky in love, tow-truck driver [and best friend to Steve] “Ahmed” in season one, and joined the cast as a series regular in season two, quickly becoming a fan favorite. Ahmed is currently the only Arab-American actor playing a non-stereotypical role on a comedy sitcom, today.
Born in Helwan, Egypt and raised in Riverside, California Ahmed immigrated to the US when he was one month old with his family. When he was 19 years old he made the move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. His first big break was in the suspense, action film Executive Decision alongside Kurt Russell, Steven Segal, and Halle Berry in 1996. Ahmed went on to appear in a handful of blockbuster and cult hit features including Swingers, Iron Man, and You Don’t Mess With The Zohan. On the television front, Ahmed has appeared on top series such as Tracy Takes On, Weeds, and Roseanne to name a few.
In 2011, Ahmed made his directorial debut with his groundbreaking documentary Just Like Us. The film premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, and went on to be selected at 30 international film festivals, winning several “Best Director” and “Best Documentary” awards. The documentary, a celebration of culture and comedy, follows Ahmed and ten American comedians through Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, performing in front of over 20,000 Arabs and Muslims across the region. Just Like Us garnered Ahmed attention on the political front, and he was invited to The White House to have dinner with President Obama, and was also invited to The State Department to have dinner with Hilary Clinton- as they commended him on creating a project that made an effort to break down barriers and encourage cross-cultural dialogue. Ahmed is currently in post-production on Just Like Us Too, which takes place in Syria, Jordan, Palestine, and Oman.
While working in film and television Ahmed’s profile in comedy continues to rise, being hand picked by Vince Vaughn for his Wild West Comedy Tour [2005-present]. Vaughn is currently producing the first ever Wild West comedy festival in Nashville, TN where Ahmed will hold the roll of Comedy Ambassador, performing and hosting shows. In 2005, Ahmed cofounded and performed in the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour which aired on Comedy Central as the first ever Middle Eastern stand up comedy special. Ahmed is also the winner of the first annual Richard Pryor Award for Ethnic Comedy at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in Scotland.
Ahmed is currently a paid regular performer at the world famous Comedy Story in Hollywood, The Laugh Factory, and the Comedy Cellar in New York City. He regularly tours nationally and internationally, and in summer 2014, Ahmed will hit the road for the Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour with his cast mates from the series, hitting 20+ markets across the country. Ahmed is a true believer that laughter heals, and that comedy can bridge the gap between communities across the world.
