He started his comedy career in the Pittsburgh, which also gave its start to such legends as Billy Gardell, Dennis Miller, Steve Byrne, and Eddie Ifft.

After being diagnosed with a brain tumor and having surgery in 2000, Vinny found an outlet for his experiences through stand up. He then became the face for Gilda's Club in Pittsburgh, an organization started by Steve Martin for comedy legend Gilda Radner & husband Gene Wilder for people living with cancer, their families and friends. Vinny quickly became a regular at the Pittsburgh Improv, and soon there after, moved to Los Angeles. In 2013 he started the live stand up comedy show "Socially Awkward" that is now featured every month at the famous Hollywood Improv Comedy Club and regularly sells out! The show not only features Vinny, but has also featured some of the biggest names in comedy such as: Bill Burr, Erik Griffin, Chris D'Elia, Anthony Jeselnik, and more. He has made celebrity appearances on CHELSEA LATELY, ABC’s COMICS UNLEASHED, the TOP TEN on E! and THE SPORTS LIST on FOX. • Gene Pompa

    Gene Pompa

Comedian and writer, Gene Pompa's television credits include regular appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," on NBC and a handful of appearances on "The Late, Late Show" on CBS. Other credits include Comedy Central, HBO, Que Locos on Galavision, Showtime's "Latino Laugh Festival," and "In Living Color" on FOX, and Si TV!. Gene co-starred in Paul Rodriguez' "Comedy Rehab" in May, 2009.

Gene has completed two half-hour solo stand-up specials, "Pompalicious" for Comedy Central and a self-titled half-hour stand-up special for SI! TV, both airing regularly in rotation.

Gene's offbeat perspective plays extremely well with college age audiences and crosses all racial and ethnic lines. He headlines regularly at the Improvs in Hollywood, Irvine, Brea and Ontario and across the country, doing a stand-up show with great social relevance and irrelevance.

Gene was born in East Los Angeles and raised in the working-class suburbs of Southern California. He's been a Mexican-American for most of his life, except for a few years during the 70's, when he was a "practicing Chicano." As a product of the multi-ethnic suburbs of Los Angeles, Gene was inspired to utilize universal themes in his stand-up and his writing.

  • Nikki Glaser

    Nikki Glaser

Nikki started performing stand-up comedy when she was only 18 and still attending college at the University of Kansas. Two years later, she auditioned for the fourth season of Last Comic Standing and was advanced to the semi-finals in Los Angeles. Although the show only took three days to shoot, she lied to her professors and was subsequently excused from four weeks of class.

After graduating from college with a worthless degree in English, Nikki moved to Los Angeles and began touring clubs and colleges across the country. In the summer of 2007, she was invited to perform at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada. There, she met and performed with her comedy idols, drank alcoholic beverages, and thus lost her phone upwards of three times.

In 2009, Nikki made her first late night appearance as a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. There, she had fun and stole a beer from The Office's Rainn Wilson's dressing room, but not before calling him "Dwight" on live television when she sat down on the couch next to Leno's desk.

Description: Socially Awkward is a stand up comedy brand that is new to the Hollywood Improv! With the best comedians in the industry today you will not be disappointed.  Hosted and a produced by Vinny Fasline,  he defines himself as socially awkward. If you think about it, stand up comedy is socially awkward. An individual stands in front of a room of strangers and attempts to break their judgement and make them laugh, by sharing insecurities and judging others -- all of this to obtain self gratification. It's messed up right? Well... that's what makes it funny.  Wait, there's more. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Come on people... that's awesome. We can't wait to see you there!
