Melinda Hill is an award-winning comedian, writer and actress who performs all over the world. LA Weekly calls her “the female David Sedaris” and says her “bubbly, adorable persona belies outlandish funny” while Buzzine claims she puts “the fun back in funny and the smart back in smarty-pants.” She created, wrote, produced and starred in the hit web series ROMANTIC ENCOUNTERS WITH MELINDA HILL, ALL GROWZ UP and THE PROGRAM with Maria Bamford for Funny or Die. THE PROGRAM was named one of LA Weekly’s “10 best web series of 2014."
She voices multiple characters on the Emmy winning series Adventure Time and is the other half of the viral hit Confessions of a Tooth Fairy with Kristen Wiig. Her monthly show "What's Up, Tiger Lily" at UCB was named "best stand up show" in LA Weekly & LAist and her critically acclaimed CD "The Accidental Bisexual" is available on iTunes. She's a regular contributor for Huffington Post Comedy, XOJane and Hellogiggles and her humorous essays have also been featured in LA Innuendo & Opium Magazine.
Born and raised in Chicago, Renee started her comedy career at the world renound Second City. A conservatory graduate, she continued her comedic education at Improv Olympic and The Annoyance Theater. Continuing to be a part of writing and performing with several Chicago sketch groups, Renee expanded her comedic skills by taking on stand up comedy. After only 6 months, Renee won 2 stand up competitions and was one of the first female comics to be asked to join underground comedy coalitions. A member of Second City’s first ever House Ensemble Improv team, one of three females to be a part of Chicago Underground Comedy, Renee co-founded SpitFire, The Comedy Broad Squad. Renee has been mentioned in the Chicago Tribune as a "stand out", in The Chicago Reader as "chatty and fun", and received an editorial in the comedy section of Time Out Magazine. Up until October 2006, Renee was a frequent performer at Zanies, Chicago and Schaumburg, IL, Improv. Now residing in LA, Renee has been seen on several LA underground stages, along with the famous Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, Ha Ha Comedy Caf.., and the Ontario Improv.
Hello there. JC Coccoli is a comedian born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA to an Italian-Russian family. She began performing at the Pittsburgh Playhouse at the age of 9 before her acceptance into the Point Park Conservatory Theater and Dance school and a summer study program at Carnegie Mellon University. She received her BA in English Writing and Radio and Television Broadcasting from the University of Central Florida while starring in a nationwide television show for The WB entitled Big Man on Campus.
After moving to Los Angeles in 2005, she began touring as a stand-up comic performing at the LA improv, Laugh Factory and underground alternative venues (super hip). She was soon cast in a co-starring role for a FOX comedy pilot entitled Skyler's Revolution from the Executive Producer of Charlie's Angels and We are Marshall.
In 2006, she was hired as a comedy writer for THE WB, MTV, and VH1. She has written for actors and comedians that have appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, Chelsea Lately, CBS's Big Bang Theory, VH1's Best Week Ever and Late Night with Craig Ferguson. Her television appearances include G4, MTV, VH1, and WB. In 2009, she began editorial work for 944 Magazine which shifted to avid blogging for a site entitled Healthy Bitch Daily from the co-author and creator of the NY Times Best Seller Skinny Bitch.
Every Monday night she runs one of the hippest comedy rooms in Los Angeles Keep it Clean @ Public House http://www.laweekly.com/events/keep-it-clean-comedy-829945/ and presently resides in Venice Beach, CA where she embraces the serenity of yoga and continues to observe the hilariousness of human beings.
