Each comedian stands alone as a headliner around the country but on this night, they come together for one awesome night of roof raising comedy! The show will be hosted by Rob Stapleton. Rob well known for his energetic style, and his ‘Sweet and Low’ character can  currently be seen getting a standing ovation on Showtime’s ‘Mike Epps and Friends Live at The Nokia’ as well as his very own special on Comedy Central presents  and his classic performance on P Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy on HBO.   Talent, well known for his hilarious observations, is well known for his stints on Russell Simmon’s Def Comedy Jam and Martin Lawrence’s 1st Amendment as well as several hit movies. The gangster of comedy Capone Lee is a well-known for his aggressive, rapid, in your face style. Capone is well known from the last two seasons of HBO’s Def Comedy Jam as well as the current season of Showtime’s ‘Shaquille O’neal’s All Star Comedy Jam’ as well as host of Showtime at The Apollo.  All of this energy and talent comes to together for one show for one night only.  Be sure to get your tickets today for what will be a show that people will talk about for a long, long, time.

    Erik Griffin

    Fans of the hit Comedy Central series “Workaholics” instantly recognize Erik Griffin as 

    the show?s iconic series regular Montez. Erik also tours the country headlining popular 

    comedy clubs and colleges every weekend. His debut comedy album, Technical Foul: 

    Volume One, will be released this March. His Comedy Central Presents Half-Hour 

    Stand-Up Special will premiere this year. Erik is a first generation American-born 

    comedian/actor who made the decision in 2003 to quit his job and plunge headlong into 

    making comedy his full-time occupation.

     

    Erik first gained national exposure performing in the ALMA nominated “Payaso Comedy 

    Slam” seen on Showtime and Comedy Central networks, “Live at Gotham” on Comedy 

    Central, “Last Comic Driving” on NBC, “Comics Without Borders” on Showtime, nationally 

    syndicated “Comics Unleashed;” He can also be seen featured in several national 

    commercials, including the Emmy winning, Budlight “Swear Jar.” In 2008 at the Just For 

    Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival, he received overwhelming reviews. Erik was featured 

    at the 2008 NACA National Conference, the 2007 East Regional and 2006 NACA West 

    Regional Showcases. He is currently headlining clubs and colleges throughout the 

    United States and Canada.

     

    Mostly recently, Erik was seen on “Surviving the Holidays” with Lewis Black on the 

    History Channel, he was featured in the Tribeca Film

    Festival Documentary “Just Like Us,” and will be touring the world promoting the movie. 

    Erik was also a guest star on the hit TNT show “Franklin & Bash.”

    With his multicultural background, a Central American-Caribbean mother, a father of 

    European decent, Erik blends well into the North American landscape particularly in this 

    era of cultural diversity. With his routine full of hilarious observations about life, love and 

    selfevaluation, he brings together all ages and ethnic backgrounds, which makes for an 

    uproariously good time.

    Roy Wood Jr

    The thought-provoking comedy of Roy Wood Jr. crosses cultural lines and has entertained millions nationwide by stage, radio and television.  Roy will join Steve Byrne, Owen Benjamin and Ahmed Ahmed as the Sullivan & Son Comedy Tour comes to Zanies on Thursday, May 15th.

    Wood, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, began his comedy career in 1999 at the age of 19 while attending Florida A&M University. By October 2006 Wood made his network television debut on Late Night with David Letterman. In 2008, Wood appeared on HBO’s historic Def Comedy Jam. Described as “charismatic crankiness” by Entertainment Weekly, Wood has worked with an array of comedians ranging from D.L. Hughley, Ron White, Monique, Bill Engvall, and Katt Williams. In 2011, he was selected by America as one of the top three finalists on Last Comic Standing on NBC and can now be found as a series regular on TBS' hit comedy Sullivan & Son.

  • Finesse Mitchell

    Finesse Mitchell

    Fresh off of the 2013 Shaq All-Star Comedy Jam tour, Finesse Mitchell shined as a featured performer on the SHAQ All-Star one-hour comedy special taped in Atlanta, GA which recently aired on SHOWTIME.  His frequent appearances on Bethenny or The Arsenio Hall Show keeps Finesse's humor on TV day and night.  A Saturday Night Live alum, Finesse Mitchell, a versatile actor and comedian, also plays China's Dad, "Darryl" on the hit Disney show, “A.N.T Farm”, now in its third season.  And Mitchell's TV work ramps up even more in 2014 as he is slated to host the Game Show Network's "Who's The Imposter" and B.E.T. Centric's new show, "According To HIM and HER".

     

    Mitchell has had numerous appearances on NBC's Today show and has been seen on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, TBS "Who Gets The Last Laugh", Fox dating show "The Choice", VH-1 hit show “Single Ladies” as “Jobari”, B.E.T “Comic View”, “Tyra”, Ricki Lake, Jeff Probst, “Comedy Central Presents” and Tyler Perry’s “Meet The Browns”. His feature film work includes “Who’s your Caddy”, “The Comebacks”, “Mad Money” and the upcoming "Barely Lethal" which also stars Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba which is set for a 2014 release.

     

    Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Finesse graduated from the University of Miami and is a distinguished member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. He is also a former student-athlete who was a walk-on for the National Champion Hurricanes football team and played with such UM alumni as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Super bowl champion, Warren Sapp. His book, “Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much: A Brother’s Take on Dating and Mating for Sistas" (2007) is an advice book for women. It was born out of his hip, hilarious and widely popular monthly advice column for ESSENCE Magazine.
