Hot off the heels of the release of his debut comedy album, Excessive Talking, Jason Downs is one of the fastest-rising stars on the comedy scene today. Upon its release, Excessive Talking was instantly selected by iTunes as a Featured Album for an astonishing 17 weeks in a row. A Rooftop Comedy Production,Excessive Talking immediately broke the top 10 on the iTunes charts and is currently in heavy rotation on Pandora Radio.
Critics cannot get enough of Downs' unique likability that allows him to confess his greatest flaws in an original, aggressive, and hilarious act that UnderTheGun.com describes as, “a high-energy torrent of hilarity from start to finish.” CourtingComedy.com says Downs is “one of the best salt of the earth, brick wall, universally funny comedians.” It is that good heart and bad mouth that gives Downs the ability to share his story of a know-it-all who knows nothing. Critics continue to shower Downs with praise as TheatreJones.com says, “Jason kicks his set off with a booming voice with plenty of sex and drugs, but then you realize he’s an exceptionally smart, well-read comic…you need to definitely keep an eye on.”
Jason Downs was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, IFC, a winner of the Las Vegas Comedy Competition, performed at the San Francisco Sketchfest and is the face of multiple NFL ad campaigns, including a Super Bowl commercial. Although known for his stand up, Downs is an accomplished playwright as well, a winner of the Actors’ Theatre National Playwright Competition.
Andy Kindler is known in comedy circles as a troublemaker. Originally from New York, and now complaining from California, he annoys people all over the world.
Andy is a frequent guest and correspondent for The Late Show with David Letterman. Each summer at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal he delivers the State of the Industry address to a packed ballroom filled with comics and Hollywood industry types. He is infamous for his scathing attacks on the world of entertainment, including the previously taboo practice of making fun of his fellow comedians. Just as the comedy boom of the nineties was imploding, Andy wrote the “Hack’s Handbook” for National Lampoon. This “how-to” guide satirized and exposed tired comedy formulas.
Andy currently recurs on IFC’s Maron, Comedy Central’s Tosh.0 and Fox’s hit animation, Bob’s Burgers. He was also a judge on the seventh season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing and starred in two half-hour Comedy Central Presents specials. Other noteworthy credits include the HBO Young Comedians Special, Late Night with Conan O’Brian, The Daily Show, Wizards of Waverly Place, Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, Home Movies and The Larry Sanders Show. Andy is often recognized for playing the life-affirming character “Andy” on the CBS sitcom, Everybody Loves Raymond.
Born and raised in Oakland, California, Cinton Jackson is the youngest of 3 and the only son. An imaginative child inclined to perform, Clinton stood empty handed at “Show & Tell”, told his jokes and officially claimed his identity as a stand-up comic at the age of 9.
After graduating from high school Clinton began to hone his craft in San Francisco’s thriving comedy scene, quickly moving up the ranks to become one of the youngest headliners around. He has appeared on many stand-up comedy television shows including his own half hour special on Comedy Central and most recently The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson. When not headlining his own shows Clinton has been the opening act for such notable artist as Aretha Franklin, Donna Summer, Dennis Miller, Chris Rock, and Steven Wright. Clinton has also recorded and released two full length comedy CDs, both of which are regularly featured on satellite radio comedy channels.
Following an acclaimed showing at HBO’s prestigious Aspen Comedy Festival, Clinton was cast to co-star as affable science teacher “Mezz Crosby” on the WB’s “Nick Freno: Licenced Teacher”. Subsequent roles as teachers on shows such as the Disney Chanel’s “That’s So Raven” and Nickleodeon’s “Taina” further showcase Clinton’s trademark guy-next-door appeal with. Additional guest appearances on other sitcoms have shown that Clinton’s talents definitely reach beyond the stand-up stage.
Upon signing with the Commercials Unlimited agency Clinton began to work in television commercials. With what one casting director called “a natural ability to connect” Clinton was cast to star in numerous national commercials including Jeep, Subway, Circuit City, Old Navy, 21st Century, Nissian, and AC Delco.
Stand-up remains Clinton Jackson’s first love and greatest passion. In addition to comedy clubs he is very popular on the corporate event circuit, doing shows in which he often incorporates his keen ability to improvise with his audience. The San Francisco Chronicle says, “on stage Clinton Jackson moves as if he were in a boxing match delivering material that is not only hilarious to hear but brilliantly visual as well. He's good natured, clever, and engaging with a unique point of view, earning him the respect of his peers and giving him a broad cross-over appeal. “
