The Improv Piano Bar combines music, stand-up, and improv comedy to create the most unexpected comedy show you've ever seen. Stand-ups will sing, singers will improvise, and at the end of the night you might get to try both! That's right, after the show the piano bar opens up to the audience....
Mixing his spontaneous creativity and absurd view of the world, Rory Scovel is quickly making a name for himself across North America. Whether discussing drugs, politics, or life in general his infectious stage presence and engaging charisma will quickly shift the vibe of any room and place the audience in the scene of every punch line.
Rory Scovel has been featured at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Bumbershoot and Bonnaroo. His Comedy Central Half Hour premiered last May. Rory has also been seen on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and CONAN. He was featured in several episode of MTV’s “Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous” last summer, was a featured voice in HBO’s animated series “The Life and Times of Tim” and can currently be seen on the TBS series GROUND FLOOR. His CD, DILATION, is available on iTunes and he recently released a vinyl album, RORY SCOVEL LIVE AT THIRD MAN RECORDS.
“Picture a storyteller, philosopher, and absurdist, whom you can’t quite decide whether he’s a nice guy or a huge asshole. Either way, he’s pretty damn funny.”
-Daniel Berkowitz, LaughSpin
Eliza Skinner has appeared on Chelsea Lately, The Pete Holmes Show, Totally Biased, Conan, and Upload with Shaquille O'Neal. She has performed all over the place including SXSW, The Edinburgh Fringe, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. She is currently a member of the musical improv group "Diamond Lion" at the Upright Citizens Brigade. And once RuPaul said she was "She-larious", which was pretty dope. www.elizaskinner.com
