You can see him in Super High Me, on Doug Benson's the High Road on G4, as a correspondent for The Daily Habit on Fuel TV, The Sarah Silverman Program, in the feature documentary film "Laffghanistan" or in a comedy club, college, firebase or theater Palm Striking his way through amped up crowds. Comedian/Actor Arsenio Hall says; “Aida has something I never had when starting my stand up career. She has tremendous self-confidence! That combined with being funny should be lethal.” Her comedy is a colorful splash in the bland world of affairs, becoming the first and only Latina to ever appear on BET’s “Comic View: One Mic Stand”.
Currently wowing audiences on the L.A. Comedy scene with her regular appearances at The Improv, Laugh Factory, Jon Lovitz Comedy Club this Puerto Rican Latina is a regular opener on the road for Russell Peters and has toured abroad performing for the troops on USO Tours.
And if writing jokes isn’t enough, this infinite threat has taken her pen to the stage with her One Woman Show “No Kisses for Free”, which she co-wrote with Gary Hardwick (Deliver us From Eva, The Brothers) which is set for a 3 week run in Los Angeles in Spring 2011. She also created/wrote/starred in “The Greatest Song” alongside Lamman Rucker (Why Did I Get Married, Meet The Browns) distributed by Image Entertainment.
Aida recently hosted the Miss California Latina Pageant, first time in its 20 plus year history for a comedian to host. Look for Aida on season 2 of Latino 101 on SiTV and as Bea onthe new hit web series “Illegal” taking the Internet by storm.
Sam Tripoli views comedy as a calling rather a profession. It’s a passion that he’s been preaching to audiences at comedy clubs across the country and on television, including Comedy Centrals’ “Premium Blend” (receiving only one of two standing ovations in the history of the show), a frolicsome turn as a male escort for E! Entertainment’s “Party @ the Palms,” “The Late Late Show on CBS”, “Comic Unleashed” and as a co-host of Spike TV’s “Wide World of Spike,” a comedy-action cult classic. On stage he’s a force of nature, pacing the stage like a cyclone of funny as he questions authority and the conventions of our society one moment, then earnestly expresses his affinity for the bizarre the next. His comedy has no limits – its whatever he’s thinking about, and that’s usually what everyone else is thinking about, even though sometimes we don’t like to admit to it. “I like to think of myself as the little voice in everyone’s head, except I have a microphone and I’m funnier,” Sam says.
