For over a decade, SPIKE-DID-IT-EVENTS has proudly presented MO BETTER MONDAYS ALL-STAR COMEDY JAM, featuring the hottest urban comedians from all over the country. Comics regularly featured on Def Comedy Jam, BET, HBO, Showtime, feature films and Comedy Central round out an always awesome line-up. Such acts as Dave Chappelle, Corey Holcomb, Kevin Hart, Mike Epps and Lunelle have all come out to perform.
DeRay Davis is quickly killing Hollywood with his hilarious humor and persona. His film credits include Jumping the Broom, Semi-Pro, Old Dogs, Life as We Know It, Imagine That, License to Wed, School for Scoundrels, Scary Movie 4, Barbershop 1&2 and Johnson Family Vacation.
On the small screen, DeRay has appeared in HBO's "Entourage", Comedy Central's "Reno 911", Comedy Central Presents DeRay Davis, Comedy Central's "Premium Blend" and BET's "ComicView" along with numerous voices on The Boondocks.
DeRay can next be seen in the Sony feature 21 Jump Street in 2012. And his 1 hour Comedy Special POWER PLAY debuts on Showtime Friday July 1, 2011 and is available OnDemand July 2nd thru July 29th.
On the recording side, DeRay wrote and performed the comedy skits on Kanye West’s LPs “Late Registration” and “The College Dropout”, and he performed at the 2006 Grammy Awards with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx.
A born hustler from Chicago’s South Side, DeRay began his career in the comedy clubs and was first noticed by Hollywood at Atlanta’s Laffapalooza Festival. Shortly after moving to LA, DeRay won the Comedy Central Laugh Riots Competition and was a standout on the Cedric the Entertainer Tour and at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.
DeRay currently resides in Los Angeles.
Deon Cole is originally from the south side of Chicago. Deon’s charismatic personality and original style make him one of the most popular performers in the comedy scene today. As a standup, he has been featured on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central: John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Laffapalooza, and Mash Ups along with his own 1 / 2 Hour Special. Deon is also an actor, having appeared in MTV’s Short Circuitz and Wild N’ Out with Nick Cannon, as well as Barbershop 1and 2. Most recently, Deon was featured in FX’s The League.
After Deon’s 2009 standup appearance on The Tonight Show, he was offered a job as a staff writer for the show and has since made weekly appearances as a commentator/performer on the show. In 2010, he was nominated for his first EMMY and Writers Guild Award along with the other writers of The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and he was named one of the “Top 10 Comedians to Watch” by VARIETY. In 2011, Deon received his second Emmy Nomination for his work with the writers of CONAN. He also had the experience of a lifetime touring with and performing his standup on Conan O’Brien’s THE LEGALLY PROHIBITED FROM BEING FUNNY ON TELEVISION TOUR. Deon had his own show on TBS called, DEON COLE’S BLACK BOX. A video clip and social commentary show where Deon offered up his unique views on what was happening in the world. Most recently, Deon toured with Shaquille O’Neal’s All Star Comedy Jam. He also appeared on Comedy Central’s @Midnight and the Game Show Network’s Mind of a Man.
