I was born and raised in the ironically-named town of Hopedale, Mass. I started performing stand-up comedy at the tender age of 17. As a performer, I was too young to be any good. As a person, I was socially inept and looked weird. Let’s skip ahead! I moved to Los Angeles in the halcyon days of “The Comedy Boom”, and in quick succession, I performed in several HBO specials, numerous appearances on Conan and Letterman. I recorded the CD Funhouse, which was called "a comedy CD" by Billboard magazine, and an actor, appeared on Seinfeld, The Ben Stiller Show and the series "Working" (which wasn’t, and was soon cancelled). After writing the pilot "World On A String" (with Jay Kogen), I co-created MTV’s late, lamented, Super Adventure Team (with Rob Cohen). I then joined the staff of The Simpsons, where I squatted for seven years. Stand up remains a big part of my career, and I continue to perform regularly. I recently appeared in the film "The Aristocrats". and am preparing to record my next stand-up CD. I live in Los Angeles with my wife and a bunch of kids and dogs, several of them ours.
Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Jonah Ray came to Los Angeles in 2001 to play and tour in indie rock bands, but later started to focus on writing and performing comedy.
Ray started his TV career as a writer's assistant for The Andy Milonakis Show, before being fired then immediately being re-hired as a full time writer. Since then Jonah has written and performed on shows such as HUMAN GIANT, SUPERNEWS, WEB SOUP, THE SOUP, and has appeared as a stand up on CONAN, LIVE AT GOTHAM, and COMEDY CENTRAL’S MASH UP.
Ray hosts a weekly comedy show called The Meltdown with Kumail Nanjiani, which has been called the best comedy show in Los Angeles by the LA WEEKLY and has been featured on LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY. The success of the show prompted COMEDY CENTRAL to shoot THE MELTDOWN PILOT where Jonah is both an Executive Producer and on-camera host. He is also one of Chris Hardwick's co-hosts of The Nerdist Podcast which is also a show on BBC AMERICA.
In addition to all this Jonah Ray can be seen touring the country as a solo stand up supporting his latest comedy record from AST RECORDS “Hello, Mr. Magic Plane Person, Hello.” which debuted at number one on the iTunes Comedy Charts. He recently filmed his half hour special in Boston for COMEDY CENTRAL’S THE HALF HOUR SERIES which aired in May of 2013.
Hey! My name is April Richardson — I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, but I live in Los Angeles now. I really, really enjoy performing stand-up comedy and have done so at places like the Hollywood Improv, Comedy Bang Bang at the UCB Theatre, Portland's Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Seattle's Bumbershoot Music & Arts Festival, San Francisco's Sketchfest, and more fancy names that may (or may not?) impress you. (I also made Glenn Danzig laugh once — true story — so, you know, I'M LEGIT.) I have written things for MTV and been published in various magazines and books (remember those?), so that's pretty cool, right? I spend my days working on E!'s hit show Chelsea Lately and my nights watching Food Network.
