It all began in church at the age of five...one Sunday the preacher called all the kids at the Southern Baptist church to the front to ask some questions in front of all the adults. When the preacher asked a small tow-headed boy what he thought hell would be like, he replied, "Preacher, hell will be hotter than the Wal Mart parking lot on the Fourth of July barefoot." The church erupted with laughter, the little boy was hooked on the sound and a comic was born.
Fast forward 25 years and Tim Gaither has been a comedian for 10 years, working in 34 states so far and Korea for the USO and our troops. In January 2009, Tim moved to Hollywood and almost immediately became a paid regular at the world famous Comedy Store.
Later that year, Tim appeared on the Bob and Tom show, and earned the honor of Best of Festival at the Detroit International Comedy Festival.
Rob Lindo hails from Vancouver by way of Jamaica (that's a story for another day). But he also lived in New Jersey and Washington, DC, before relocating to LA in 2008. He has been involved in the LA stand-up community since 2009. Rob has been seen in various national commercials, on Atom TV, Johnny B. Homeless, Comedy Central, Break.com, and Funny or Die.
Rob performs around LA at the Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, and the Pasadena Ice House. He is also a member of the comedy trio The Skinny Dicks. It was with this ridiculous trio that he co-created Skinny Sundays - a comedy show featuring nationally headlining comics and the rising stars of comedy in unfair head-to-head competitions, purely for the enjoyment of the audience. As producer and co-host, Rob was a part of the show's development and eventual transition to its new home on the main stage of the world famous Hollywood Improv.
An east coaster by birth, Joey DePaolo found his beginnings in comedy in New York, writing and directing comedy shorts that were selected for air by NBC, IFC, and even Canada's own BITEtv. Joey made his arrival on the LA comedy scene in 2009 with the comedy trio The Skinny Dicks. It was through the group that he co-created Skinny Sundays, a night of unfair stand-up comedy attracting some of the biggest names and best hidden talents in the stand-up world. As producer and co-host, Joey was a part of the show's blossoming and eventual landing with its new home on the main stage of the world famous Hollywood Improv. Joey performs regularly on both coasts and has been seen on Funny or Die and as a regular in the sketch comedy/variety show Comedy Slice at the Improv Comedy Lab.
Atlanta Raised Byron Bowers grew up on that line between the middle class and the lower class. Emerging from a Black community and educated in a white middle class community gives him some the most diverse observations in the world. Byron Bowers’ obsession for success drives his ability to connect with any audience. He compels audiences because of his smooth delivery—he's a poised puncher. Byron Bower’s creativity and quick wit marks him as one of the cleverest, making him the most unstoppable comedian in this solar system.
Jay began his stand up comedy career in Boston as the host of “The Tribe Presents,” a weekly show twice named The Best Comedy Show in Boston by The Boston Phoenix. Beloved for his unabashed physical comedy and off-the-cuff audience interplay, Jay has become a regular at The Hollywood Improv and Comedy Juice shows in Los Angeles and regularly performs at The World Famous Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Icehouse. He has been seen on “The Rebels of Comedy” pay-per-view special, The Comedy Time Network, and “Comedy All-Stars” with Tommy Davidson. Recently Jay performed in the 2010 San Francisco Comedy Competition, taking home a top 5 ranking in three rounds. His original sketches are all over Funny or Die and his face can be found urging you towards consumerism in numerous national commercial campaigns.
Jay is showcasing in the 2010 Atomic Comedy Festival and appears in the upcoming independent feature “Kissing Strangers.” His one-hour comedy album entitled, “The Sound That Jokes Make” can be purchased on iTunes and Amazon.com.
