  • Chris D'Elia

    Chris D'Elia

    Chris D’Elia is quickly becoming one of the most sought after young comedians and actors in the comedy world. Recently named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” D’Elia can next be seen starring as Danny on NBC’s new comedy Undateable. He previously starred opposite Whitney Cummings on NBC’s multi-camera comedy Whitney.

    D’Elia quickly became a regular at the Hollywood Comedy Clubs where he performs multiple times a week.  Best known for his physical humor, he is now crisscrossing the country performing his stand-up act and will release a one hour stand-up special for Comedy Central in the fall. He has also appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, as well as on Comedy Central Presents.

    D’Elia’s other credits include Comedy Central’s Workaholics, TBS’ Glory Daze and Showtime’s Live Nude Comedy.

    He currently resides in Los Angeles.

  • Michael Kosta

    Michael Kosta

    Michael Kosta is an accomplished stand-up comedian, actor, host and former professional tennis player. He was most recently the co-host of Fox Sports 1’s series, Crowd Goes Wild, opposite Regis Philbin.  Kosta is remembered for the successful segments “This Week in Punting,” “Questions out of Left Field,” “Stupid Sports Stuff You Can Actually Buy Online,” as well as a few ridiculous others.
     
    Kosta gained attention as a comedian when he broke out of the HBO Comedy and Arts Festival in Aspen. He quickly relocated to Los Angeles where he began his television career; he is a regular on The Tonight Show, Chelsea Lately, and Conan.  Kosta also guest-hosted Attack of the Show on the G4 Network and appears as a correspondent on E!’s The Soup Investigates, the Joel McHale’s produced spinoff of The Soup.  He also starred in his own half hour special, Comedy Central Presents: Michael Kosta.

    Tommy Johnagin

    Tommy is an autobiographical story telling comedian who is a favorite at comedy clubs all across the country. In 2007 Tommy was invited to the prestigious “Just For Laughs” comedy festival in Montreal, Canada where he was the highest reviewed “New Face.” He has also appeared at Comedy Central’s “South Beach Comedy Festival” TV credits include: Five appearances on “The Late Show” with David Letterman. His own half-hour special on Comedy Central, Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and, “John Oliver’s New York Stand-up Show”. In 2010 he finished 2nd on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. He’s also appeared on CMT’s “Comedy Stage” and TBS’s “Very Funny Stand Up Show”. He has also been a guest numerous times on the nationally syndicated radio programs “The Bob and Tom Show” and the “The Ron and Fez Show”.

    Jackie Monahan

    Jackie is taking the NYC comedy scene by storm. Quickly becoming a local favorite at Gotham and Caroline's on Broadway, Jackie took her show on the road headlining at Clubs and Colleges all over the country. When she is not on the road with the LOL tour, she is busy around Manhattan doing spots on Maxim's Sirius radio and VH1 shows. With this trained actress and Uprights Citizen Brigade improviser it seems that Miss Monahan is unstoppable.

    Dan Ahdoot

     Dan Ahdoot went to college at the prestigious Johns Hopkins University and graduated with honors as a premed student. Shortly thereafter, he decided to take the secure route and ditch medicine for comedy - his parents are still thrilled.
    Dan has been featured on The Jay Leno Show and Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and was a guest at the Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival. Dan was a finalist on Season 2 of NBCs Last Comic Standing. He has written for MTV’s Short Circuits, Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers, and A&E’s Roast of Gene Simmons. He has opened for Lewis Black, Jay Mohr, and Patton Oswalt. He has been featured on ABCs 20/20, the 98.7 KISS FM Morning Comedy Special, and he is a regular on Jim Brueur’s radio show Unleashed, on Sirius Satellite.
    In addition, Dan is one of the highest booked college acts in the country - performing well over 300 colleges. He also performs at corporate events for a variety of companies and organizations.

    Eric Hahn

    Eric Hahn is a hapless waiter/sometimes restaurant manager/comedian/writer/hand model/promiscuis gay guy living and performing in Los Angeles. Eric began performing comedy in 2007 when he was fired by a famous pizza chain restaurant ( hereafter identified only as CPK ) for talking about his experiences as a 10 year manager with said pizza company. Eric is no longer bitter about this and wants to extend a HUGE thank you to CPK for shoving him headfirst into pursuing his dreams. Eric appeared in 2009's short film 3b and can be seen on Hulu.com in their stand up comedy clips.

Description: SYPLA is a Los Angeles based charity operated by young and outgoing Angelenos who join together to raise awareness about and donate to meaningful philanthropic work around the world. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization designed to offer an attractive and appealing opportunity for young professionals to contribute their resources and skills to meaningful causes. Through these efforts, the Society of Young Philanthropists hopes to instill a commitment to philanthropy in the next generation of community leaders.
All proceeds from this event a will be donated to Preschool without Walls (PWW). PWW is a free bilingual mobile program for children ages 0 – 5 that brings free pre-school classes to families in need throughout Los Angeles County in easy to access locations.  The program encourages parents to join in the classes to interact and engage their children in order to continue the learning process at home.  Previously funded by state resources, PWW is now completely reliant on the donations of good samaritans in order to inspire the several low-income neighborhoods that PWW services to make education the number one focus of generations to come.
