Daniel Sloss has been widely hailed as comedy’s internationally acclaimed and award-winning half-man-half-Xbox.
He started performing stand-up aged just 16 and has appeared on the UK’s premier TV shows including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Rob Brydon Show, Jason Manford’s Comedy Rocks, Comic Relief’s Mock The Week, Paul O’Grady Show (Daniel’s TV debut aged 18), Comedy Store, BBC’s Stand Up For Sport Relief, Set List, Russell Howard’s Good News, as well as starring in his own BBC show, The Adventures Of Daniel (aged 19).
In August 2008, aged just 17, Daniel became one of the youngest-ever finalists in the UK’s premiere national comedy competition So You Think You’re Funny?
In 2009 his first-ever solo show, Teenage Kicks, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe, selling out the run and transferring to London for his debut at the prestigious Soho Theatre whereupon he became the youngest-ever stand-up to perform solo both at the theatre and in the West End. That September he also made his national television debut as the first stand-up to perform on Ch4’s Paul O’Grady Show.
In 2010 Daniel’s new solo Fringe show My Generation also sold out its entire season.
His 2011 show The Joker was likewise a total smash-hit, selling an astonishing 10,000 tickets. This show subsequently played to great audiences and acclaim across the UK in a 50 date tour produced by Live Nation after they took him on as their youngest solo comedy client. He went on to win the prize for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards.
Similarly his 2012 Edinburgh Fringe show The Show sold out it’s run at the festival, at the International Conference centre and again shifting more than 10,000 tickets, and later toured the UK with over 50 dates. That same year Daniel also performed a solo season at Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival and was invited to give a prestigious Tedx talk - a serious yet comedic presentation. His debut stand-up DVD Daniel Sloss – Live! (recorded at Glasgow’s legendary Kings Theatre) was released on 2Entertain in the autumn of 2012.
And in 2013 he achieved an unprecedented Edinburgh triple - his show Stand-Up again sold out the entire run again over 10,000 tickets (back at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and restricted only by the venue’s capacity) and then toured the UK and all over Australia in spring of 2014.
His new show Daniel Sloss – Really…?! premieres at the 2014 Edinburgh Fringe and will then tour the UK as well as 20 dates across Europe.
Daniel has toured internationally throughout Australia, South East Asia and throughout Europe. He has starred at major UK outdoor Festivals including Rockness, Latitude and Altitude (Comedy & snowboarding in Austrian alps alongside alumni such as Eddie Izzard. Daniel featured in ITV2’s documentary about the event)
In 2013 he made his USA debut with seasons at Crackers in Indiannapolis and Comedy Works in Denver as well as his first appearance on the Conan O’Brien show on 5th December, returning exactly 2 months later to perform another set on 5 February 2014.
