In August 2008, aged just 17, Daniel became one of the youngest-ever finalists in the UK’s premiere national comedy competition So You Think You’re Funny?
In 2009 his first solo show, Teenage Kicks, premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe, selling out the run and transferring to London for his debut at the prestigious Soho Theatre whereupon he became the youngest-ever stand-up to perform solo both at the venue and in the West End. That September, still just 18, he made his television debut and was the first stand-up on Ch4’s Paul O’Grady Show.
In 2010 Daniel’s new solo show My Generation also sold out its entire season at the Edinburgh Fringe. His 2011 show The Joker was likewise a total smash-hit, selling an astonishing 10,000 tickets. This show subsequently played to great audiences and acclaim across the UK in a 50 date tour produced by Live Nation after they took him on as their youngest solo comedy client. He went on to win the prize for Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards.
Similarly his 2012 Edinburgh fringe show The Show sold out it’s run at the festival, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), again shifting more than 10,000 tickets, and later touring the UK with over 50 dates. That same year Daniel also performed a solo season at Montreal’s Just For Laughs comedy festival and was invited to give a prestigious Tedx talk - a serious yet comedic presentation. His debut stand-up DVD Daniel Sloss – Live! (recorded at Glasgow’s legendary Kings Theatre) was released on 2Entertain in the autumn of 2012.
In 2013 he achieved an unprecedented Edinburgh triple - his show Stand-Up sold out the entire run, again over 10,000 tickets (back at the International Conference Centre and restricted only by the venue’s capacity) and then toured the UK and all over Australia in spring of 2014.
His new 2014 show Really…?! had its world premiere at the Edinburgh Fringe, yet again performing to huge audiences at the EICC with extra shows due to demand. Really…?! subsequently embarked on a major European autumn tour with 20 shows across 15 countries as well as UK theatre dates including 2 shows at London's Royal Albert Hall, Elgar Room.
Daniel has toured internationally throughout Australia, South East Asia and throughout Europe. He has starred at major UK outdoor Festivals including Rockness, Bestival, Latitude, Reading, Leeds and the all-star Austrian Alps Comedy & snowboarding festival Altitude.
In December 2013 Daniel made his USA television debut on Conan. He was booked to return to the show exactly 2 months later, February 2014 which led to a third invite to come back on in June - 3 appearances in just over 6 months, the first stand-up to achieve this. He made his 4th appearance on Conan in February 2015 and has also appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Pete Holmes Show and @Midnight.
In addition, Daniel is working with production company, Conaco, to develop his own pilot show for Warner Brothers Studios.
